Each room and chalet at Garden Route Game Lodge offers either views of the mountains or the valley. They are elegantly decorated with thatched roofs and wooden furniture. All of them have TVs with digital channels and a safe. We have been on multiple safaris throughout 12 years in both Eastern and Western Cape. This one was by far the best value. We have never seen a Cheetah that close. Our ranger Tim was exceptional and the restaurant had the best food. The villa was gorgeous and clean. The swimming pools as well. We will be back!

Riverside Guest Lodge offers panoramic views of Grobbelaars River and Swartberg Mountains. It offers air-conditioned rooms and wooden cottages. There is a main deck with a splash pool, a bar, and a barbecue.

The rooms at Riverside are equipped with a flat-screen satellite TV, wooden floors and private bathroom. The wooden cottages have a separate dining room, a fireplace and a fully equipped kitchen. This property is superb in all regards. The hosts, Elza and Albert, are gracious, welcoming, and ever so helpful. We just returned from almost 3 weeks in South Africa, staying in a number of guest houses. Riverside was our most enjoyable stay. We regretted not having booked a longer stay at this wonderful establishment. The attention to detail in all matters of the accommodation are quite remarkable, really. This is a must stay when in the Outdshoorn/George area. The breakfast room and fare were very upscale without feeling stuffy. Food was delicious!

There is an outdoor fireplace and guests can make use of free WiFi and free private parking. Rochelle's attention to detail made check in seamless. The unit was fitted with EVERYTHING we needed. Modern furniture and decor. We loved the hot tub and the fireplace in the unit helped allot in the cold weather. We'll definitely visit again.
