Alan and the staff provided a very homely feel and were super attentive and couldn’t do more for us. Beautiful location. Clean rooms and very good facilities well equipped with everything we needed.

They gave me excellent recommendations, tailored for a traveler with limited time—exactly what I needed. They even shared a special spot for watching the sunset with private beach entrance. We had long conversations, and the whole experience felt truly special. I’m so grateful to this family and really hope to return one day.

Oh my goodness! So unexpectedly nice, and the fireplace plus constant supply of wood made it sooooo nice! Let's not forget the perfect showers!! WOW!!! Staff were exceptional, and the location cannot be beat! You do need a car though.

It also had everything we needed and more. I was just amazed with the attention to detail. This place truly lacked nothing. And waking up to the sound of the birds with the beautiful mountain view was the best. Sue was very helpful, and having a chat with her husband when we left. Giving us a bit of his future plans was quite exciting to hear. We really loved his friendliness and concern about how we enjoyed their beautiful space. Will definitely return when they have expanded their property.

Con vista sul lago, The Country Cabin mette a disposizione un alloggio con terrazza, a circa 29 km da Caledon Nature Reserve. A beautiful newly built little wooden cabin tucked away in the hills of Tesselaarsdal valley. It's completely off the grid but is extremely well equipped with everything and more that you'll need. We were treated to some of the organic veggies grown on the farm and let's just say we didn't know veggies could taste THIS good! The owners, Judy and Henry, are lovely and very welcoming. Our highlight was braaiing down by the dam. We were treated with an amazing sunset, sounds of nature, and a windless starry night. You can also swim in the dam with some pool noodles that they provide.
