The host was exceptional, making me feel right at home and going out of his way to help with everything, from organizing attractions and tuktuk to go around Sigiriya to helping me when I needed. His care and dedication made all the difference. The room was nice, spotless and had everything I needed, offering both comfort and practicality. Breakfast was a daily delight, with homemade local dishes that were not only delicious but also varied and thoughtfully prepared. The garden was a peaceful oasis, full of life with birds enjoying fruits – such a calm and relaxing scenery. And the view of Lion Rock? Simply beautiful with the rice fields around. I couldn’t have asked for a better stay – everything was perfect, and I wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone!

Beautiful clean cool rooms in the jungle, hardly a need for the fan even because the trees and plants keep the rooms so cool. Lovely friendly and helpful family, delicious breakfasts and dinners if you choose to eat there. I highly recommend the home cooked rice and curry, it’s so tasty and the mum will cook it as spicy as you like (I like it spicy and it was so yummy compared to the bland ‘tourist curry’ they serve in a lot of the restaurants in Sri Lanka’) The son even showed me around the area, it really felt like home. Highly recommend!

Isanka Lion Lodge si trova a Sigiriya e propone la vista sul giardino, una piscina all'aperto, un giardino, una sala comune, una terrazza e un ristorante. We stayed there for a night and booked this location due to wonderful comments about its owner and location. And it is absolutely true. It is a small yet lovely hotel and also just 5 mins tuk tuk ride from the Sigiriya Rocks. Also very easily accessible to city center and restaurants. The owner is a fine gentleman and really friendly. We forgot our two bags and realised after we got call from hotel and we were around 20 kms away. The owner sent the bags via tuk tuk and did not accept cash for this extra effort done by them. We were really grateful to them.

Sigiri Lake Paradise si trova a Sigiriya e propone la vista sulla città, un giardino, una terrazza e un ristorante. La location è unica all’interno di un territorio stupendo, a fianco di un piccolo lago magico con vista incantevole. Il proprietario è super accogliente e disponibile a qualunque richiesta. Abbiamo mangiato praticamente a casa loro, ci sono solo tre tavoli con cucina a vista, tutto buonissimo, cucina locate. CONSIGLIATISSIMO!

Immerso in un paesaggio naturale, il Back of Beyond - Pidurangala offre un rifugio tranquillo a Sigiriya. Questa struttura era quello che desideravo da tempo. È stato tutto perfetto e per me sarà indimenticabile….sicuramente da ripetere. Completamente immerso nella natura, un’ottima soluzione per sconnettersi e riconnettersi con la natura. L’accoglienza dei proprietari ha contribuito ad amplificare il benessere, con la loro cucina e la loro colazione donata con tanta passione e cura. TOP!
