Situated in Archers Post, Samburu Sopa Lodge features free WiFi, and guests can enjoy a shared lounge, a restaurant and a bar.

Samburu National Reserve is 1.7 km from Samburu Sopa Lodge, while Kalama Wildlife Conservancy is 27 km from the property. Nanyuki Airport is 136 km away. Great location in the middle of the reserve. Flew into the Kalama airstrip. The lodge helped us arrange transportation from the airstrip to the lodge, a 45 minute drive. Apin was our driver and he was so friendly and knowledgeable,we hired him to guide us on all of our game drives. The lodge is wonderful, separate thatched roof bungalows with 2 rooms each. Large spacious rooms, traditional Samburu themed luxury . Beds are firmly comfortable, bathrooms large, great shower. Very quiet location. The buffet serves delicious food and offers many choices; Kenyan, Indian,English and lots of fresh fruits and vegetables. Enjoyed eating meals while watching animals visit the watering hole situated in front of the dining area. The swimming pool offered us a chance to cool off. The staff were amazing, everyone made us feel welcome and happy to be at Sopa. Samburu National Reserve is warmer and drier than many of Kenyan parks, however, I highly recommend visiting due to the more mountainous terrain and the amazingly unique wildlife. Staying at Sopa lodge really enhanced our stay.

Samburu National Reserve is 8.3 km from Ashnil Samburu Camp, while Kalama Wildlife Conservancy is 29 km from the property. Nanyuki Airport is 129 km away, and the property offers a paid airport shuttle service. It was so calm and relaxing! I liked the tents with a lot of space and private sitting area. You can even see animals through the fence if you are lucky! We saw an elephant and a giraffe. We were there to celebrate our anniversary and they brought live music on our first night and a lovely decorated plate. Lovely detail. Also, the food was amazing. Breakfast, lunch and dinner with plenty of options including vegetarian. If you have food allergies better check in advance though. I had the best massage ever with Rachel. She literally made all the tension of my body disappear. I was going for a 30 min massage initially but extended for a full hour because it was so good. My husband also enjoyed the massage. The staff was amazing and the highlight. All of them super nice: the lady at the reception, Abdi our room attendant, Marundu from the bar (not sure if I spelled the name right, but this man was a lot of fun and his vibe was amazing! He made us enjoy our afternoon beers even more!) Elvis from the restaurant, Roba from security, Hussain the safari driver, and every single employee at the hotel! I wish I had written all the names down to write a special thank you to each one of them because they all made our stay very pleasant and enjoyable. Always nice to us and super helpful.

With river views, Sarova Shaba Game Lodge is situated in Archers Post and has a restaurant, room service, bar, garden, year-round outdoor pool and terrace. The lodge features both WiFi and private parking free of charge.

Shaba National Reserve is 17 km from Sarova Shaba Game Lodge, while Kalama Wildlife Conservancy is 23 km from the property. Nanyuki Airport is 127 km away. Shaba — An Epic Nature Escape! Shaba was absolutely epic! The natural beauty was breathtaking — the sound of water trickling through the surroundings was so calming and truly refreshing. They’ve really done a great job greening the place, which adds to its serene vibe. The fish foot massage was an unforgettable experience — I thoroughly enjoyed it, even though Jo couldn’t quite stand it (she still earned a gold star for trying!). The food was divine, and Chef Joseph was always there, making sure we were well taken care of. And I can’t forget to mention Nimo — she was simply amazing and took such good care of Jo.Thank you for honoring Jo's Elephant theme😊 We’ll surely be back and I highly recommend Shaba to anyone visiting Isiolo!
