May and her family were the perfect hosts. Cao’s and his wife’s cooking was amazing, very tasty, clean and fresh food, plus it was such a lovely experience eating together with the family. The bungalow was so cozy and very clean and in a perfect location away from the madness of Sapa. Trekking with May was a lot of fun, walking to the waterfalls and the bamboo forest, the views along the way were breathtaking. The herbal baths were much welcomed and a slice of luxury on a rainy day. Overall we loved the three nights we spent here and would love to come back..

Heartwarming and welcoming family, super sweet and took care of us well. We were genuinely sad to leave this place! Lovely new yet still authentic house, including comfortable bedding. Along with the soothing sound of a stream, it has amazing views throughout that you can look at all day. The home-cooked dinners were incredible. Lots of trekking options in the Ta Van area, some good restaurants and convenience shops within walking distance.

I like the view outside. It probably look great if I visited during the month where rice fields are all green. But nevertheless it’s a good location.

I love everything about the place. The bungalow is deliberately designed and decorated. The beautiful view from the balcony of the room. The bathroom is modern and nice. The staff is always happy and cheerful. The food is exceptional. The trekking trip is well-organized. Pang took care of us so well during the trip. Definitely recommend the place

The family are so kind. The location is perfect for those who don’t want a super touristy place, it is an absolutely stunning place nestled in the mountains (I recommend getting a motorbike because the homestay is 15/20 minutes drive outside of the centre of Sapa). The food is great. And the price is amazing. They want to start a workaway so even better if you are willing to volunteer for them too. Close to the beginning of Fanzipan, if you like hiking.

The Black Ship Sapa, Vietnam ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I recently had the pleasure of staying in a charming bungalow at the Black Ship Sapa, Vietnam, and I can't recommend it highly enough! From the moment I arrived, I was greeted by one of the owners Max and his fellow staff who were incredibly professional and friendly. They always went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. Their warm smiles and willingness to assist with any request made me feel right at home and part of the Black Ship family. The cleanliness of the bungalow was impeccable with a daily cleaning service to ensure your room is always as if your checking in for the first time and it was evident that the staff takes great pride in maintaining a tidy environment. It made my stay even more relaxing, knowing I was in such a well-kept space. Now, let's talk about the food! Each meal I enjoyed was absolutely delicious, showcasing the best of local cuisine. Every bite was a delightful experience, and I appreciated the variety of options available making the food consistently top-notch. The pricing for this accommodation was incredibly reasonable, especially considering the high quality of service and amenities provided. It felt like such a great value for the experience I received, making it accessible for travelers on any budget. And speaking of views, the scenery surrounding the bungalow was nothing short of breathtaking. Waking up to the stunning vistas of lush mountains and rice terraces was the perfect way to start each day. It was truly a feast for the eyes and a wonderful backdrop for relaxation. Overall, my stay at the Black Ship Sapa was one of the highlights of my trip to Vietnam. The service by staff was exceptional They gave us free sandwiches and water for our trip back to Hanoi. Very kind staff.

Wonderful structure, in the middle of the nature, with an amazing view on rice fields. A pearl in Sa Pa, destroyed by horrible mega hotels western style. Clean and spacious rooms. The staff was very gentle and helpful in organizing trips and activities (trekking starting directly from the hotel). Very good restaurant.
