Fresh milk and coffee making supplies were provided in the room. The private geothermal plunge pool was a unique and relaxing experience. The guest laundry facilities were convenient and clean. The location made it easy to walk along the shores of Lake Taupō.

I cannot begin to explain what a wonderful stay we had here. The place is in a privileged spot facing the beach and we were lucky enough to get one of the rooms facing the lake directly, which made us feel we had our own private beach. The owners are charming and very kind and we will never forget this place!

The best spot we have stayed in New Zealand! Rob and Karen could not have been kinder and more welcoming. The facilities including the hot tub were luxurious and beyond what we expected. The location was 10 minute drive from the centre of Taupo, breakfast was excellent. Angie and Garth were incredibly friendly giving us help with places to eat and all around the local area. Despite the cold weather in New Zealand for summer we had a fire in the lodge to keep us warm.

The accommodation environment here is excellent. The rooms are clean and spacious, and the garden is beautiful with many birds. The kitchen is fully equipped, modern, and very convenient. The hosts, a couple, are very warm, attentive, and welcoming. The husband’s cooking skills are outstanding.
