The camp is beautiful with gorgeous views, right at the entrance to the National park. The accommodation is very tidy, as are the toilets. There’s also plenty of room for relaxing, reading, drinking coffee etc. The star of the show is definitely the food - they only have a couple of dishes but they’ve brought the recipes to perfection. Make sure to try the veal in kajmak. Finally, the incredible hosts who go out of their way to make you feel welcome are the reason we’ll make sure to come back to the camp.

We have only words of praise for both the house and the host. The house, which is located on 1650m altitude in the middle of national park Prokletije, is built entirely of wood, thoughtfully equipped with all the practical elements needed for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Everything was perfectly clean. Although there is no electricity in this part of Prokletije, it didn’t affect our stay at all - we cooked on the traditional “Smederevac” stove as well as on the gas cooker. The view from the terrace is absolutely breathtaking and it’s hard to say at which time of day it is more beautiful. We were two families with four children and the kids enjoyed spacious and beautiful yard. The host was always available and willing to help with any information we needed. All in all, this house is truly worth every recommendation! Nearby there are a lot of hiking possibilities. Nature is really amazing and make sure that you go to the Hridsko Lake

10/10 – A perfect mountain retreat! Staying in this wooden cabin was truly one of the most beautiful travel experiences we’ve ever had! The house is perfectly located in untouched nature, right on the Peaks of the Balkans trail and next to a gently flowing river. Waking up to the sounds of nature, breathing in the fresh mountain air, and looking out through the large glass windows — absolutely magical. The cabin is spotlessly clean, cozy, and modern, yet warm and in harmony with the surroundings. Surrounded by a forest of fir, pine, and spruce, it truly felt like a fairytale. And the hosts? Incredible! So kind, welcoming, and always ready to help. They gave us great hiking tips and shared interesting stories about the local area. We felt completely at home. This is a place we’ll never forget — perfect for anyone seeking peace, nature, and genuine hospitality. Thank you for everything, we’ll definitely be back! ❤️

Probably our favorite stay during the hike because of the amazing hospitality. We felt very much at home, the food was truly restaurant-quality and the hosts super friendly,engaging. We had very nice conversations and learnt a bit about Montenegro:) Recommended them to friends too.

You won't regret staying at Isov Ranch if you want an authentic experience and a feeling of home and family. I was the only guest the night I stayed there. I was doing the Balkan Peaks trekking route. When I arrived I had a small paper message welcoming at the door. And when I entered and met the owner there was another lady I saw during the hike that day, but she was not staying there. We had some tea, and when she left I tried to say some Montenegrian words I had noted down, and we started an exchange of our languages, which was nice. Dinner was at his family house, nearby, and when I went out for it I noticed the most beautiful night sky full of stars. Don't miss out on that. Dinner was delicious and I felt really welcomed, we laughed a lot together. During the night I felt a bit sick, probably from something I had on Doberdol or for eating too much that night, and in the morning I was still not 100%. They cooked a traditional and delicious breakfast that I was sad I couldn't eat properly, but I took some as packed lunch for the hike. They let me rest for a while on their sofa to get better and gave me tea. They weren't sure I should hike that day and suggested I stay one more night, but I felt better so I decided to go, even though I felt sad for leaving them. We stayed in the cottage #1. It was very clean and cosy, comfortable and spacious enough to accommodate 4 people. The lake view from the balconies is stunning, perfect place to have morning coffee. Property has private parking and is conveniently situated if you are planning to drive to different hiking areas. We really enjoyed our stay 🫶
