The couple who looked after us was amazingly kind and treated us with delicious food, and their warm hospitality is one of a kind. We really enjoyed how we have been integrated, we felt just like another member of the family. We were looking for an authentic experience to spend aluth aruvudu (Buddhist new Year) and we could not have dreamed of something better than the few days we lived at the SNF. After 1month and a half we have never experienced this kind of welcome elsewhere. The whole family is very open minded, intelligent, sensitive, curious but what probably touched us the most is their willingness to share everything: Food (of course) but also what life learned them in general whether it is practical skills like cooking, cutting a coconut, observing nature or more "soft skills" like their view on life and their wisdom. We hope to come back as we know this was a unique and special experience.

We had a wonderful stay at the Ecovillage. The room was comfortable, the food was excellent, the staff were very friendly & the views were amazing! We did the temple hike and although it was overcast, rainy & misty so we didn’t have a great view from the top, it was lovely to just be in the jungle. We loved that the eco village employs local people, it is an eco-friendly and ethical place to stay, highly recommend

The house is located in the jungle, you will be hearing lots of birds and other animals. And there is a small, private, swimming pool, which I really liked in the morning. Also the host is very friendly and supportive.

We really liked everything, starting from the location of the property, the variety of delicious breakfasts, and the super friendly staff whom we warmly greet. The building has an interesting design with ethnic motifs and a beautiful view. The room was spacious, the bathroom was clean, and everything worked perfectly. We recommend it :)

the food! it was the best meal we had in all over Sri Lanka (2 weeks), the location is private, no tourists at all in nearby area, so it’s truly a local home stay vibe. there was hot water and overall comfortable.

We had a great stay. The location is very good close to everything we needed, with easy access to transportation, restaurants, and attractions. We had an amazing stay. We have felt so welcomed from the moment we entered the hotel. The staff has been so kind and helpful. The last night we even had a great talk with the owner on the rooftop of the hotel. It's not in the city center, so it is far more quiet, but at a really reasonable distance, so it was perfect! We recommend 100% this place to stay in Kandy!!

Nice green surroundings, spacious apartment and the host makes delicious food. Reasonably close to the Knuckles Forest Reserve.

Everything was nice and clean, the manager and all staff nice and helpful. Nicely located pool with view on mountains and to Kandy city. The menu very tasty, good prepared from local chef with international cooking experience.
