The hotel was exceptionally clean, the food was incredible and the host is very friendly, kind and she attended to all of our needs.

Situated a 80 meters from the main road, so very quiet. Supermarket, bakery, Best Coffee and the company for booking rafting and other tours are at walking distance. In the morning you can hike opposite of the road to the nature reserve for birdwatching; and there are so many species of birds! In the afternoon you can walk to the river and have a swim or dip in to it to cool off. I booked a private room with private bathroom and the rooms are very big, so you can stay with 4 persons. The hostel has a lovely view, expect Ara's and many multicolored birds in the backyard snacking from the banana's. The owner Maria is so warm and friendly, and there are 2 lovely dogs who want to be friends with you as soon as you arrive. The facilities in the kitchen are very good. Everything is super clean and tidy, value for money is superb!

Volcano Panoramic Views si trova a Vara Blanca, nella regione Heredia, a 20 km da Parco Nazionale del Vulcano Poás. We loved the views from the property and the size of the house is great. Very reasonable price for the house and a great location with lots to do within driving distance. We loved the waterfalls and the gardens.

Hortensias Chalets Vara blanca offre la vista sulla montagna a Heredia e dispone di ristorante, servizio in camera, bar, giardino, terrazza e area giochi per bambini. We loved our stay at Hortensias, the villas are so cute, the little electric fireplace was used a couple nights just to cut the dampness. Had two meals for supper and we enjoyed them, breakfast was also very good. Highly recommend.

Ubicato a Heredia, a 40 km da Parco Nazionale del Vulcano Poás, Casa del Cafe-Familiar propone un giardino, un parcheggio privato gratuito e una terrazza. Bellissima casa coloniale con parco, costruita 150 anni fa e tenuta molto bene, bisognerebbe andare anche solo per vederla. Camera grande e pulita, anche il bagno, 🛀 n generale tutto molto ordinato e bello, sembra di tornare indietro nel tempo.

Villa Calas si trova a Vara Blanca e propone la vista sulla montagna, un giardino, una sala comune, un ristorante e un bar. This felt like a very special place. Everyone has their own cabin with fire place should you need to warm up. There’s a long walk you can do through the jungle from the hotel which was really nice. The staff were really helpful when it came to getting taxis around, but a lot easier here to have a car.

Wendy’s place is incredible, a beautiful house, private and surrounded by nature. The nights were with perfect temperature and you sleep with the sound of nature, something we needed to get accustomed with. But we had the best sleep for 4 nights! We booked the full experience with breakfast and dinners brought dearly by Wendy’s mom, who was a bit like our mom too. If you speak a bit of spanish, this will stay as your favorite memory of the house, like for us. The waterfall of the neighbour’s property is also superb and had it just for us, is bigger than it looks on photos! We also saw some toucans from the balcony and hummingbirds. A little paradise we recommend to everyone.

The staff was very welcoming and always happy to help. The location is incredible, in the middle of the tree. The owner spent the evening talking to us and was very warm. The hotel is huge and the work done to build it is incredible - it truly is a piece of art.

The sounds at night are unbelievable! - the night tour, included, is a must-do! - the food is tasteful, well-though and very generous. - meet some passionate people, truly dedicated to protect the area. If you a nature lover, this place will be your paradise!
