Our room was fantastic, spacious, clean and with two big comfortable beds. The dinner they cooked for us was great and Cylia is careful to fulfil your every wish. Before dinner we visited the village (an experience not to be missed) we met the local people and visited the school and the orphanage; all the people are extremely kind. The first highlight is the ride to the boat pier and the boat ride to the island through Lake Bunyonyi. The welcome by the staff is warm and honest. The property is fully self-sustaining, so if you're not a fan of outdoor latrines, be prepared ;) Hot showers are available but need about an hour preparation time. The staff really goes out of their way to accommodate all your wishes and make you feel right at home. I recommend staying in their geo domes as it is an experience you will never forget. The menu at their "canteen" is a dream for vegetarians. Just the perfect place to relax and switch off for a few days. They organize tours to other islands as well, which I didn't try as I just wanted to relax for a few days before heading to the hustling streets of Kampala. They also organized a gorilla track for me in Bwindi at very short notice, which they made into the perfect day and memorable experience. Thanks again for everything 🙏

The remoteness makes it all comfortable. It cuts you off from the modern world and it's horrors. The staff is so disciplined. The hosts are really great people, when you visit it's like you have become apart of the family. The cottages are really nice. Very well ventilated to keep out bugs. The lake view is awesome. Oh my God the food 😃 It's safe from dangerous animals and reptiles. Star gazing is one of the must-do things while there, it's so beautiful. I could go about it forever.

SUV to drive you; and of course there is a lovely (and secure) carport if you are driving your own vehicle.
