The Location is Central and super close to the Beach. The Family was incredibly Kind, welcoming and super friendly. We felt like being Home. This was the best Place that we stayed at in Sri Lanka. The guest house features family rooms. I booked this property based on a review written by a family similar to ours. And the open air bathroom. We are a family of 4 with a 5 yr old girl and 2 year old boy. We rented the large family suite and it couldn’t have been more perfect. Less then 5 mins from the beach, large comfortable double beds with mosquito nets, a shared kitchenette, large comfortable bathroom with hot water and AC. The owners were such lovely accommodating people. The best part was the location. Hiritekiya is an Instagramy digital nomady hotspot, and Jungle Escape is located in the less developed part of the beach. So we were close to everything but in a more tranquil environment.

The Surf Lodge is beautifully decorated with a lot of love and taste. It offers amazing breakfast and a direct access to the beach. It is managed by the super kind Che who was always very attentive to help us organize a few things around the area. What we particularly loved about the hotel (apart from the amazing spacious rooms and the delicious (vegetarian) food) was that it is Che’s family home and has such a friendly and calming vibe :) it’s only a short walk to local restaurants and bars and Madiha’s main beach is also only a few minutes away. Parasol dore is a recently renovated guest house in Dickwella, where guests can take a dip in its infinity pool and make the most of its free WiFi, private beach area and water sports facilities. Jeremy and the team are excellent hosts, attending to every request we had, whether it was transport, excursions, or restaurant bookings. The guesthouse is perfectly situated at a comfortable distance from both Dickwella and Hiriketiya, offering perfect peace and tranquility. There is a wide variety of traditional and modern dining options just a short tuk-tuk ride away. The place is immaculately clean, with the grounds extending to a gorgeous beach that was peacefully quiet (which we loved!). A big shout-out to Roshan and his lovely daughter Nikya, our trusty tour guide, who were brilliant in giving advice and organizing any outings we took. A fantastic stay with some great memories made. Highly recommended!
