Staff were wonderful before and during our stay. Good communication and very helpful. Breakfast was plentiful with lots of choice. Fresh and locally sourced where possible. A delightful, tranquil location interrupted only by chimes from the bells from the local church (stops at night!), birdsong and cuckoo calls. Gignese has bars, cafes and restaurants and is within walking distance. Stresa with its lakeside promenades, shops and many restaurants is 15-20 minute drive away.

Large and cosy apartment with beautiful view over Lago Maggiore. We stayed for a week and loved the place. Great location in Verbania. Close to the ferries, buses and restaurants/shops. The hostess and her son were very helpful and gave us several suggestions regarding places to visit, restaurants to eat etc. The overall price level in Verbania was also much better than in Stresa.

The apartment was in a old renovated building, it was spotless, it looked newly refurnished it was quiet,comfortable bed,location wise too, a 5 minute walk to the ferries ,bars and restaurants and bars all close by.

Spent 5 days with Luciano & Pia at their beautiful house. Very welcoming couple who provided every comfort. The rooms were big, very comfortable & spotlessly clean. We enjoyed some evenings in the lovely garden, so relaxing after days of exploring the amazing area. The train into the mountains of Switzerland is quite an experience & close to this location. Lake Maggiore is 5 minutes drive away. Everything you could need is close by. We can't wait to go back in September.
