Super helpful and friendly host family. Hans and his mum helped me out several times and it was a pleasure to meet the family. The place had everything, was well equipped and super clean including new appliances, a big TV and even a washing machine. Rivas was an interesting small town with a nice square, church, park and a lot of small shops. I walked there every day and it took about 20 minutes.

The room was very good with a nice kitchen and a lot of space. Everything was very clean and the bed was comfortable. There is even a cute little chicken that sometimes pays a visit. Max and his wife Martha were so kind and friendly, we loved staying with them. I would definitely recommend staying here if you are in Rivas. Perfect resting place while on your way to other places.

Maria doesn't really speak english, but she definitely trys hard to make you feel comfortable! Also, the food is really good, you have to try the filete del pescado & banano con leche! We did not meet too many other backpackers in the 4 nights we stayed but nevertheless worth a visit.
