Piyal was a total gentleman. He was hospitable, informative, and efficient. He organised transport for us ( both during and onwards)made phone calls and booked the cultural show for us. I think he spoke better English than me!!! The Grove itself is beautiful. It had all the facilities required ( no refrigerator in room or kettle but filter water available on tap in the shared lounge and Tea/ coffee on request). It was spotlessly clean. Dinner was available via the hotel next door- it was brought over for you so you wouldn't really have noticed. Beer was also available. There was also a pool next door, a 3 minute walk. It has spectacular views- one of the highlights of the Grove.

This is a clean, comfortable home stay with excellent food and very friendly, helpful owners (and a cute dog). We really enjoyed staying here for 3 nights and we were easily able to get to Kandy city centre by a short walk and local bus each day. The home stay is nestled in hilly rainforest which was a welcome surprise to us and having breakfast each morning here was a delicious and tranquil experience. I’d definitely stay here again.

Our stay at No 06 Veediya Bandara Lane, Bahirawakanda, was absolutely fantastic. Mr. Farid’s (a man with a Big heart), who was exceptionally well-mannered and attentive throughout our stay, hospitality was unparalleled; he went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction. The location was perfect, offering both tranquility and convenience, and the property itself was impeccably maintained. We left with nothing but positive impressions and high praise for Mr. Farid’s exceptional service. This experience truly enhanced our visit to Kandy, and we highly recommend this accommodation to anyone seeking a delightful stay in the area.

Very clean modest room. All the time I lived there, I ordered traditional breakfasts and dinners. this is convenient because it takes some time to get to the city. prices are very democratic. You feel like you are in a warm and caring family where you are welcome. Location is on a mountainside 10 minutes by bike from Kandy. The owner gave me a ride to the train station after I had to wait for a delayed train. I recommend! ​

    I had a good stay at Kandyan White Holiday Homes. The moment I entered, the host offered my a glass of mix fruit juice, which was a really good gesture. I was also served very good breakfast during my stay. The host definitely knows how to make the guests feel at home. The property is also located close to the railway station, temple of the Tooth, Kandy Commercial Complex and other view points.
