Great location on the way to Drake Bay. Nice an comfortable with AC in the whole house. Well equipped kitchen. But most of all, very lovely hosts who can even help with transportation to Drake Bay and tours.

The house is directly in the jungle with a wonderful view on the Sierpe forest. When the sky is clear it’s possible to see the Pacific. The House has everything you need to cook at home. Be aware that the place is accessible only by car and you need to take a boot, therefore it is suggested to organise your grocery before (in Palmar Norte where there is also the last available ATM). In case you would like to have an amazing dinner, Simone can prepare dinner for you. Simone organised for us a very nice tour in the Mangrove systems which was really worth it as we saw many wild fauna!

Hotel Cocodrilo was everything i expected and more. Our room was upgraded upon arrival which was unexpected but very generous and appreciated. Unfortunately we only stayed very briefly as it was a quick turnaround in our travel plans between locations (Drake Bay and Montezuma). The pool was enjoyed by all as a different pace to the salty ocean waves. I basked in the glorious AC for a night as a respite from the fans and humidity. Stephany was an absolute wonderful host. I wish we were able to stay for breakfast, but the early morning coffee was much appreciated. You can walk from Sierpe (we did with fully loaded backpacks!) but the short taxi ride from the boat launch may appreciated. Bring cash to pay for your stay! If I ever return to CR and am down this way I would definitely stay here again no question.

Our stay at this apartment was absolutely wonderful! The place was exceptionally clean, comfortable, and perfectly equipped with all the amenities we needed. The location was ideal, conveniently close to the ferry dock. Our host, Adriana, warmly welcomed us and went above and beyond with her kindness and attention, even helping us resolve an issue with our laundry. Wow... Staying at La Muñequita Lodge is so much more than just somewhere to sleep. It´s like entering a new, exciting, relaxing, friendly world - with a lot of animals, exotic trees and flowers. The hosts are superfriendly and helpful. The house was spectacular. Basic in one way, but exclusive in another. One detail is that I really loved the wooden floor. So soft for your bare feet. Delicious breakfast and dinner. It was very interesting to hear the hosts history of how they ended up here, and take part of their future plans for their small business. We could safely park our rental car here while we spent three days in Drake Bay. It felt much better than park it by the harbour. The hosts really have big hearts and you leave with a better belief for the humanity. I can strongly recommend to stay here. I will be jealous of everyone of you that will.

Sabrina and Edu were fantastic hosts. They went out of their way to make our stay a success. We loved our little house. The food was the best we had in Costa Rica, it was fresh, delicious and varied. There were interesting trails around the property and we had great fun in the rowing boat. We thought Encanto Lodge was a very special place and would have liked to stay longer. Pura Vida in Osa.
