The Avenue is perfectly located 3 mins walk from the delightful town centre of Bakewell with a good selection of bars and restaurants and local bus services very close by.The property was spotlessly clean and very warm and welcoming and very quiet at nights despite being situated on the A6.Sarah the proprietor was an excellent and helpful host and provided a lovely breakfast of delicious locally sourced ingredients and we wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again !.

The room, the bathroom and the bed were all very clean -a point I'm particularly concerned with. My room was bright and well furbished. There is also a kitchenette which I wasn't aware of before coming, equipped with cutlery, a fridge and a few snacks. A good surprise! The position is very conveniently two steps away from the city center. The staff was very welcoming. Overall, I was very comfortable in this place as a solo female traveller!

After staying in a variety of accomodations travelling the UK, this was an absolutely beautiful stay. The bedrooms were so lovely with every detail thought of, with beautiful bed linen. Our hosts were so welcoming and helpful. And an absolutely fabulous breakfast served in a delightful dining room. And off street parking much appreciated.

The house and room were very comfortable and clean. The shared bathroom was new, clean, and very spacious. I would definitely stay here again. Good value for the price.

Lynn and Pete are gracious hosts, great communication, and recommendations for local POI /restaurants. Conversation of gorgeous stone barn into delightful home. Location is idyllic hamlet and only couple miles from wonderful town of Buxton.

It is obvious they love hosting and think of all the details to make your stay comfortable. The breakfast was wonderful with large portions!
