There was a very nice and friendly woman at the reception who carefully explained how to get to the apartment. We were pleasantly surprised by the accommodation, everything was modest, but clean and tidy.

First time staying in hostel, wasnt sure how all works regarding shared things,information was provided yes and all read. Very happy that you still had your personal little house and toilet. Location was perfect ,stayed one night and very affordable,if needed would definetely come back.

We felt in love with our room and location :) amazing view, cozy, clean, very good breakfast. Sad part that we didn't have opportunity to enjoy breakfast longer, as we needed to drive because of storm.

The house was very clean and its atmosphere was cozy. Our host - Thora is a very nice and warm person. The breakfast was home-like, with a rich variety of homemade jams. Besides there was porridge, waffles, bread, eggs, coffee, tea and much more.

Located on an old farm, Guesthouse Stekkatún is 600 metres from Vatnajökull National Park. It offers free parking and basic rooms with shared bathroom facilities. Thorbergssetur Museum is 25 km away.

Very nice place, clean rooms and wonderful spacious shared bathrooms. The host was very nice and cooperative and helped us cook pasta for the kids.
