Situated in Paihia in the Northland region, Paihia Place Cottage - central Paihia has a patio. We liked the location and the rustic beach cottage. There was a great tip sheet for exploring the local fare and activities. We liked the private quiet setting. We felt very welcome with flowers and welcome sign.

Allegra House has sea views, free WiFi and free private parking, set in Paihia, 1.2 km from Te Ti Bay Beach. With garden views, this accommodation offers a balcony. Heinz & Brita were the most gracious hosts. The room had everything we needed for our stay, very comfortable, and the view from the balcony was stunning! The Allegra House was a close walk to everything Paihia, and they have a cute little shortcut path down the hill. The breakfast & homemade bread was delicious ~ so much to choose from to start your day. We would definitely come back to Paihia & stay at the Allegra House again.

Situated within 1 km of Long Beach and 400 metres of Christ church, Bellrock Lodge features rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Russell. We liked Bellrock Lodge and this little village so much, we even extended our stay! :) It is worth staying longer in Kororareka Russell and especially at Bellrock Lodge, so let us tell you why: Bellrock Lodge is situated on a little hill (if you walk, there are a few steep meters) and because of that, you will have the most amazing views from your terrace over the coast. On clear days you will even see as far as Waitangi. The apartment and the terrace are quite spacious, even the bathroom offers more than usual space in rental properties. It is very nice equipped. The garden is beautiful so you also see beautiful garden greenery from the terrace. The hosts Catherine and Stuart are very kind and responded fast via WhatsApp. Their sweet dog Piper was also a great host and excited to offer play time with her favorite football and such :D Catherine and Stuart were always very hospitable, so for instance, if you get in a morning rain like us, getting new towels is easy peasy, just a message/call away ;-) The Lodge offers great amendities: laundry, dryer, DVD Library (great selection, we loved it), CD and Book Library aswell... To top it off, the Whirlpool and BBQ area are great, with superb views also. We loved to enjoy the Spa, especially on rainy days. In addition to that, we highly appreciated how thoughtful everything is equipped, there are umbrellas in the driveway, wineglasses from plastic for the Spa, different chairs (even comfy reading/TV chairs), more than 2 different towel sizes and many more things like that.. We have travelled a lot and Bellrock Lodge is one of our favorites. You nearly forget, that you are at a self-service accomendation because everything is so thoughtfully done. It is worth staying longer, you can experience a lot in the area, walk to the beaches from Bellrock if you want to, get groceries and have great restaurants/cafés in town.

Boasting quiet street views, Absolute Bliss Apartments features accommodation with patio, around 1 km from Te Ti Bay Beach. Was the perfect place to stay while in Paihia. Just a short walk up the hill from the main dock where Fuller's boat tours launch. Place had a nice deck to enjoy a morning coffee or an evening glass of wine and look out over town and water and listen to the birdsong from the hills behind you. Bed was very comfortable, wifi good, and Hostess Marilyn was very welcoming. Guests had access to a washing machine and clothes that was super convenient. They also had an elevator to haul the luggage up the 1 flight from driveway to accommodation units. If you are coffee drinker like us, bring ground coffee as unit has a press pot to make coffee.
