Great place, great breakfast, super clean and comfortable

Riva is a very good place to relax, enjoy the sun and water and make friends. We loved the warm reception and daily routine that started with dear Gabriel good mood on breakfast till the sunset with the fishes in the evening. All perfect would give six stars if that was possible.

It was the best stay we had ever (and we travel quite a lot). I cannot express how Marco the host and his team (Martin, Angie, Jay and last but not least David) made us feel. We had the best time and even prolonged our stay with one more night because we didnt want to leave. The beds are soo comfortable, the whole house is a paradise on water and Marco thought of everything. Most amazing stay and vibe and we got to know such lovely people there! The breakfast is amazziinng :)

The house's yard has an amazing garden(like a small jungle). We even saw a few monkeys there. The house is located outside of the city's central part, about half our walk. However, the place is good and close to the seaside.

Together with my 13-year-old daughter I had the pleasure to spend one week in the Pirate Arts Resort on Carenero Island. At first, I was hesitant to fly all the way from Germany to Panama but luckily my daughter insisted. And it was so worth it. Before we even sat foot on the island, we were very well taken care of. Weeks in advance, the managing director sent us a welcome letter which included how to get there, a very nice selection of trips and excursions to do, where to eat, etc. It also included some very practical tips in terms of which insect-repellent to buy and to stop at the local supermarket to buy the snacks you will be craving after dinner. When we finally sat foot on the island it felt like stepping into another world. There was the main house with the restaurant (it was closed when we visited but will be reopened in December and the whole operations will be run by a German chef – funny coincidence) and then there were a couple of separate 2-story houses with apartments in a tropical garden. Oh, that garden. So well maintained and so beautiful. Our apartment had a huge veranda with a table for four, a hammock, some lounge chairs (this is where I enjoyed my morning coffee) and 2 deck-chairs. Ah, and there was a star-fruit tree right in front of our house and we took full advantage of it 😊 On the veranda was a huge ventilator to keep the mosquitos away. Inside the apartment we had a big room with a fully furnished kitchen and living room with lots of books and board games. Our suite had 2 bedrooms and a bathroom with shower. All the rooms have air-conditioning and ventilators. I also loved the fact that there were flower arrangements on every table and a fruit basket in the kitchen. Yummy. Behind the house was a washing-machine and a dryer – all very convenient. The people working there were very friendly – it felt more like a community. The apartment was amazing, looked very new and modern, was very clean and very comfortable, the location was very near to the restaurants and the center and best part was the host, pinto was an amazing host, always answered the phone no matter the time and was willing to help and give tips on the island and everything. Marjorie's apartments are perfect for a stay in Bocas del Torro. The accommodation is about 4 km outside of Bocas Town, which is why I rented a bike (super easy) to be able to move around more flexibly. but there are also cafes and beaches nearby that you can walk to or take a cab (I just preferred the bike). Every morning started with a homemade coffee in the hammock on the terrace - could be worse ;). I can recommend this accommodation to anyone looking for a quiet place that is out of town on the main island.

Authentic apartment with good ‘karma’. Very carefully designed and full with nice details. If you go for standard luxery hotels don’t come here, but if you want the real Bocos-experience go for this one. See photos that were taken at the premises.
