Everything about our stay was perfect!! Our host was incredibly helpful and welcoming and the cottage is lovely, very tastefully decorated, comfortable and with everything you need. The location is superb..a very quiet and scenic part of Bergen and an excellent starting point for cycling tours and walks as well as only a short walk from a variety of excellent restaurants. All in all a great stay we would love to repeat!

We stayed at loft "de Slufter". It is part of a horse riding complex in a lovely setting. It has 2 large room (one with a bath tub in it) with double beds and 1 smaller room with a double bed. there are 2 extra beds in the storage with can be used to fit a total of 8 people. It has 1 bathroom with 2 showers with doors and also 2 separate toilets. the kitchen is very well equipped with Miele oven, stove, diswasher and everything you need to cook and have dinner for a group of 8. Very nicely furnished and with a balcony and a roof top where you can sit that also includes a bbq. We rented bikes and they were delivered at the reception. The location allows you to cycle to the beach and towns. A fantastic place to stay!

This beautiful Shepherd's house built in 1844 is a very special B&B. It is filled with an interesting collection of antiques throughout connecting it to its wonderful past. The hosts were very welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was exceptional every morning with fresh eggs from their own hens and beautiful home made marmalade. There was youghurt cheeses meats and an abundant selection of scrumptious breads which set you up for the days exploring. We hired bikes in nearby Castricum as it is a good walk away from the town. With the bikes we were able to explore the wonderful nature reserve and beautiful beaches. We also cycled to beautiful Alkmaar for a day which was well worth the cycle. There is a train station in Castricum also. Thoroughly enjoyed our experience at The Shepherd's House B&B Would highly recommend it💞🥰

Het Oude Raadhuis is set in the old, monumental city hall of Castricum. It features an in-house grand café and modernly-decorated accommodation with luxury beds and flat-screen cable TV.

Such a well thought out and comfortable accommodation with a great big bedroom, nice bathroom and a covered outdoor space to sit and enjoy. Very comfortable bed, lots of windows, easy to find and access the town. Quick response from the owner to answer a question. And beautiful walks in the forest behind the house. Would highly recommend.
