Rafael cldnt have been friendlier or made us more welcome. Xwejni beach is directly across the road. A tiny beach bay and pier , crystal clear, as is all of GOZO and lovely for swimming. Still very natural and not overly touristic. The Seaview balconies give the most beautiful views. The rooms are Very Basic but clean. Comfortable beds and plenty of hot water in the ensuite bathroom. That's all we needed. Aircon requires €1 coins, which last 3 or 4 hours at a time. We didn't require this in Nov, was a perfect temp at all times. Bliss to sleep with the sliding balcony door open listening to the sea. Each floor has 3 or 4 bedrooms that share a kitchen and living area, also with lovely sea views. There are NO shops (none) in this Xwejni area but 2 beachfront bar-cafes for bkfast,lunch and 2 lovely restaurants for evening meals. Everything else you need is an easy 15 min walk or 5 min bus trip into Marsalforn, a bigger harbour & bustling seaside town with many lovely eating establishments, all the usual shops, supermarkets and several scubadive ctres and car rentals. This is where u need to get any food or basic supplies for your stay. The Apartments are 5 mins from the famous Saltpans, that start just at the far end of the small beach. Also a pleasant 30min stroll further along that direction is the incredible sea canyon of Wied il Ghasri which is beautiful to see and to swim in. I wld definitely recommend these Apartments if your fairly self sufficient and don't need too many frills. We really enjoyed our time here.

The family-run Lantern Guest House is set in Marsalforn Gozo, a few steps from the beach. It offers a restaurant and rooms with a balcony.

A lovely place to stay in an excellent location. Very clean and comfortable with all facilties need. Good value for money, I would stay there again. Our no 1 place to stay.
