The apartment was very clean and everything looked new. Lots of fresh towels and a well fitted kitchen. Comfortable bed and access to a balcony area with outdoor furniture. The Aircon was very cold which was great for us and the shower had good pressure and hot water. Secure parking spot provided. We asked for self check-in as we were arriving late and Diana was very helpful with all the info we needed sent to us on WhatsApp. She was very quick to reply to any questions we had and was helpful throughout our stay. Bus stop outside which will bring you into Funchal centre. We walked down to the promenade and beach from our accommodation using a steep walking path behind the bus stop. We would be happy to stay here again.

The house offers a beautiful mountain wiev. Ribeira de Janela village is built on a steep mountain, Quinta House is close to the top of it. We could (not that easily) walk down there but had no power to walk up. The wiew at the ocean is amazing! There is a small bar on the top and a small cafe and shop down the mountain. The host Vania was very kind and helpful. Since we traveled without a car, the Vania offered to meet us and collect our backpacks in Porto Moniz, offered (free of charge) to drive us to Fanal Forest and up the mountain after we walked down, as well as bring something from the shop for dinner. PS Vania is an animal rescuer and money she gets from renting the apartment is spent for that purpose.
