We visited just 2 days after the start of the season and stayed for 7 days. The hotel was very well maintained compared to some other Mediterranean locations we've stayed in. The food at the main restaurant had some daily variation with some themes days in between. The quality of the food was always great, especially the local vegetables and meat / fish on offer. Do try the Flavor restaurant with the wine pairing if you can, it's a great way to get away from the chaos that buffets can sometimes be. We loved the onsite gym which is on par if not above some dedicated gyms in terms of equipment variety & quality. The fitness activities are also great! I can recommend the bike tours offered by the hotel, the mountain and road bikes they have are very well maintained and even for me at 2.07m tall there was something available. Give the archery course a try! Hendrick did a great job at explaining everything and helping us improve over time! Hotel staff was incredibly friendly and helpful any time of day and no matter the question. The guest service will try to accommodate any request you might have. Overall we loved our stay at Candia Maris and will definitely come back next year for another relaxing holiday.

Honestly everything about our stay was amazing. Even before we arrived I called to organise the airport transfer and Michaela was so helpful. I read so many reviews about the staff and they were all so accurate all of the staff were so lovely in particular Michaela ad Kallia at reception, Nikos at the bar, and Natalie and the grill chef in the restaurant. The food was great a huge variety and many options for me as a vegetarian with some allergies. I would recommend all inclusive as it was a great option for us. The hotel is quite close to Heraklion city and there are lots of little touristy shops and restaurants along the road to the hotel. Honestly I've recommend this hotel to multiple different people and I've only been home for a few days.

The resort was fine: friendly staff, a lot of activities, many restaurants and bars, very good food, every evening they had tematic dinner, nice night parties for kids and adults, low level for sea water - good for families with kids.

Within 120 metres from the beach of Amoudara, the 4-star Marilena Hotel has a large swimming pool, a restaurant and a poolside bar and offers elegant accommodation with Cretan Sea or mountain views.

Everything was clean. Every day room was cleaned and we became fresh towels . Food is great and always good served. Everybody are so friendly and nice. We must to give 5 stars to positivity of Kristina, Filip( Servis) and barman Dimitius( apoligaze if I spelled the names wrong). Reception girls are verx kind, and menager is always there for guests. The location is amazing, we got a nice room with sea view, very spacious and a balcony. We had all included and the variety of the menu and drinks was fantastic, everything tasty and fresh. The hotel offers a free bus to go Agia Pelagia beach which is a plus. Since the moment we arrived, Irene at the reception made us feel at home with a warm welcome and she was always willing to help us with everything we needed. A special thanks to her!. Additionally, during the evening, in the terrace there was a nice atmosphere with games, music and even dancing. The DJ made us happy by playing music from our country.
