Shindzela is a tented safari camp, set in a traversing area within the Timbavati Private Nature Reserve, part of the greater Kruger National Park, South Africa. Shindzela far exceeded our expectations. The property is beautiful and much more of a glamping experience than a camp. The communal dining spaces are beautiful especially the candlelit dinners under the stars. The food was exceptional. Our safari guides Sam and Edward were extremely knowledgeable and we had the closest animal encounters on our Shindzela safaris. Watching the elephants visiting the river bed each day at the campsite is so magical! Would highly recommend Shindzela to anyone wanting an immersive safari experience that is still comfortable and amazing value.

Property is absolutely beautiful. Facilities and vehicles are 10/10. The watering hole is a great spot for animal watching during the day. The vehicles are comfortable and the guide Brett is so talented. We saw the big five in one day.

Makumu Private Game Lodge is situated in Klaserie Private Nature Reserve, 36 km from Kapama Game Reserve. Hoedspruit is 32 km away. Free WiFi is available. The accommodation has a seating area. Me and my partner had the pleasure of staying at Makumu! It was seriously outstanding from start to finish. Here's why we loved it: 1. Unforgettable Experience: Our safari at Makumu was mind-blowing. We got up close with wild animals and learned so much about them. Special mention to our tracker Safari and ranger AD, where you could clearly see his love to the bush and his exceptional talent on understanding the wild animals behaviour and helped us understand the animals better as well as make the experience much better thanks to him. 2. Great Staff: The people at Makumu were incredible. They were not only highly professional but also incredibly warm and friendly. They made us feel like part of their family in just 4 days. We'll never forget our time there, thanks Cherie, Shelley, AD, Ruan, and the rest of the great team. 3. Luxurious Rooms: The lodge itself was like a work of art. The rooms were super comfy and stylish. They created the perfect blend of comfort and immersion in nature. You could tell they put a lot of thought into the design. 4. Culinary Paradise: The food was out of this world! The chef's dishes were tasty and varied, everyday we tried something new. Dining by the fire on the boma under the African stars with animal sounds in the background? Just unforgettable. 5. Top Marks: Seriously, if we could rate everything, it would be a perfect 10. The safaris, the staff, the lodge's vibe, and the food - all exceeded our wildest expectations. Just thanks, we'll be back for sure.

Kambaku Lodge is located in the heart of Timbavati Nature Reserve and has a waterhole which attracts members of the Big 5. Each of the rooms and chalets feature African décor and a private patio. This as my first safari experience. I loved the rustic luxury.

Situated in the Timbavati Private Nature Reserve, Kambaku River Sands features game drives and bush walks. What. A. Place. There isn’t a rating high enough. The rooms and lodge were beautiful, the rangers and guides were fabulous, animals sighting unbelievable. Staff were exceptional.

Set in the Klaserie Private Nature Reserve, part of the Kruger National Park, Baobab Ridge features an outdoor pool. It offers private cottages with a furnished terrace. Small property which made you feel like a personal friend visiting. Linda made contact and problem solving easy, so helpful and pleasant but there again everyone at Baobab was just that. The guides, Moven and Devine are fantastic , ticking off the big 5 and even the Ugly 5!

Waterbuck Game Lodge Thornybush Nature Reserve is situated in the Southern part of The Thornybush Nature Reserve, adjacent to a water estuary and waterhole. From the moment we arrived until the moment we left, the staff at Waterbuck Game Lodge did everything to make our stay unforgettable. The rooms were gorgeous, with everything one could ask for. The drives were unforgettable, and while of course you cannot really plan on what you’re gonna see, everything in the power was done by our guide Matt and his tracker Solly to find the animals we were hoping to see. To see the beautiful Sengile, and to meet the youngest Avoca daughter, her mom, aunt, her dad and two uncles will be something we shall never forget!

Africa on Foot is located in Klaserie Private Nature Reserve. The rustic-style camp features thatched chalet accommodation, a bar and a viewing deck with splash pool and sun loungers. Absolutely everything about Africa on Foot is amazing. Staff are attentive, kind and incredibly knowledgeable. They truly make the the place what it is. Outstanding hospitality (best we have had). Facilities are clean and tastefully decorated. Food.. Just Wowwww! Breakfast, lunch and dinner were always a treat. The pools were beautifully located and clean. The rooms were spacious. The morning walks were such a treat. The guides are first class and work hard to show you as much as possible, whilst also giving you interesting information about then bush and its animals. The arvo/night drives were out of this world. We saw soooo much. Lions, leopards, rhinos, elephants, hippos, giraffes, hyenas, antelopes, birds!! And much much more. This place is a must. Don't hesitate to book. We wish we had stayed longer than 2 nights.
