Steps from the Seattle Center arts and entertainment district and the famous Space Needle, this hotel in the centre of Seattle, Washington offers guestrooms with coffeemakers and 42-inch flat-screen... Very comfy bed, overall great value
Seattle is a good city but could easily be a great one. Unfortunately because of current ideologies the homelessness, rampant hard drug use in the streets is a concern. Looks like there is an effort to clean it up, but time will tell.
Brilliant transport system, link train from airport for 3 dollars. Generally people friendly and wonderful. Loved Space needle and Chihulli gardens. lots of seafood. Market itself a wonderful treasure. Good wool shops, decent bookshops and in all would recommend visiting.
What I liked: The location was excellent—very central and convenient. The room was clean, and the bed was comfortable, which made for a restful stay. Breakfast was good, and the person serving it was friendly and welcoming. I also appreciated the easy access to parking and the availability of parking space. What I didn’t like: Unfortunately, the room lacked basic amenities like a toothbrush, toothpaste, and slippers. I had to request each item from reception, which they did provide, but these essentials should be ready in the room upon arrival. Additionally, I was charged more than expected. My booking was for $818.92 USD for 2 nights and 3 days with breakfast included, but my credit card was charged $916.67 USD. The reception did not inform me about any extra charges, and I only noticed the discrepancy after returning home. This lack of transparency was disappointing. Summary: Great location and comfortable stay, but poor attention to detail and unexpected charges affected the overall experience.
We didn't walk the street after dark because there were "mentally challenged" individuals during the day and assumed it would be worse after dark. Overall pretty clean streets and felt relatively safe.
We’d always wanted to see Pike Place Fish Market, so on our way back from Vancouver we arranged a stop in Seattle, and it surprised and delighted us. The city has an easy style, a little like a chilled version of New York. A local told us much of the greenery along the promenade is new, part of the revamp ahead of hosting the World Cup, and it really added to the charm of our walk. If you love fish, you’ll love Seattle. Fresh seafood is everywhere, from casual bites to fine dining, and it’s always on the menu. We rounded off our visit with an evening at the Old Stove, which is definitely worth a visit.
Seattle has a few things of intrest but many of those things cost money. We were disappointed that the only Whale Watching bussiness was shut down while there. We did the double decker bus but it is expensive. We also did the Space needle and Gardens but again very expensive for what they are. Certain times are discounted but the tour bus doesnt corrilate with those times. Not a place with enough things going on for me to travel there again.
