The bed is large and very comfortable, the shower warm and powerful. The kitchen is more than complete. Pepper salt coffee tea sugar oil and more it’s all there. I especially liked the eating setup looking out over the bay. Outdoor you have relaxed chairs, a dining set and a hammock. What else do you need for a relaxing time? The view is spectacular and the water is just 75 meters away for a morning swim. Bikes and kayaks are available for use between the apartments. Comfort Hotel Flames Whangarei has an outdoor swimming pool, garden, a terrace and restaurant in Whangarei. This 4-star hotel offers free shuttle service, room service and free WiFi. We were there for 4 nights over Christmas so they made sure we had a microwave and refrigerator. Very roomy a place to sit outside. We used the hot tub every day.

This is without a doubt, a hidden gem. Alice is just the most wonderful hostess. Her house is unbelievable. But that all pales, compared to the view you have from the back deck.
