Shahid (host) is a person that sets value on good communication beforehand as well as on the trip itself. Before we came there, we chatted via WhatsApp about everything important (flights, diving license, prices etc.). That helped a lot because we felt informed all the way through. I wanted to dive, but my girlfriend cannot. So, she could stay on the boat, could do some snorkeling while I was diving. Shahid managed everything and paid much attention on us feeling good. We could ask him anything at any time. The stay at La Cabana was way better than expected because of the very personal contact to the super-friendly staff. All in all, the staff works in a very professional way, is reliable, open-minded, funny and makes you think of cancelling your flight back. :) We definitely would recommend staying at La Cabana. Boasting a shared lounge, Koimala Hotel is situated in Maamigili. Among the facilities of this property are a restaurant, free shuttle service and full-day security, along with free WiFi throughout... It is a very welcoming stay with a nice dining terrace. They take care of their guests so much. Very friendly people. The food was delicious, it was so freshly and nicely cooked for us. We ordered the excursions as well. While snorkeling, we saw Manta Ray, dolphins, mini black riff sharks, and lots of different fish. Maamigili island is located 2 hours from Male, 110 km. With the good weather, it is nice to get there on a boat transfer, but if the weather gets windy and rainy, it would be better to fly back with the airplane. And of course, absolutely turquoise beach they have, a dream of Maldives. I love the water colors of Maldive islands. The Indian Ocean is so chill there. It allows you to swim safely and snorkel.

A small, but very cute bikini beach is just 3 min away. The guesthouse itself is very clean, with comfortable bedding. The breakfast is simple, but very tasty, with fresh fruits, toasts and eggs. But the best thing is the guesthouse's owner and his staff. Both are very caring, with always big attention to clients. Despite being very busy with multiple businesses,  the owner helped me to organize the transfer, snorkeling tours, showed me the island, and on my last day even organized a fish BBQ for the whole guesthouse. I didn't have to worry about anything and could only enjoy my stay on the island! I would definitely return here!

The guesthouse is run by an extremely helpful and friendly host, who will provide you with the most detailed advice about the restaurants on the island; he will also assist you in organizing day trips and outings from the island. Rai will go out of his way to accommodate your needs. He met me on arrival and took me to the airport before I flew back to Malé. He also arranged my transfers to and from the island by speed boat and plane. The breakfast provided was delicious and fulfilling. It was also varied, giving me a choice and taste of continental and Maldivian options. The guesthouse itself is new, clean, and well equipped. The staff look after it thoroughly. The village has 2 amazing beaches, one of which - the guest beach - is a perfect place for relaxation and exercise.
