This is a beautiful hotel 1.3km from the airport subway, I don't mind a walk, so I found it really convenient to take day trips. Staff speak Japanese only, but google translate makes communication easier and they were very helpful. The larder filled with snacks and drinks was great. The bathing area in the room I had was bigger than a lot of the rooms I have stayed in Japan. Highly recommend if you don't need to be in middle of fukuoka.

The location is perfect! I short walk to the International Airport, but quiet and secluded all at the same time. I didn't hear any airplane noises. The staff went out of their way to accommodate my lack of Japanese. Their breakfast buffet rivals anything that a restaurant could offer and the price/ value was fantastic. They also had a free airport shuttle. My family members stayed in the adjoining room to see me off the next day and as Japanese residents, they were impressed by the service and value. I will absolutely be coming back!

My partner and I stayed here recently and had a lovely time. Every time we visit Japan we usually go with APA hotels and have been pleased every time. This is what we usually look for when booking a hotel 1. Bed/pillow/size softness - 8/10 Bed and pillows are firm, doona fluffy and comfortable 2. Aircon - 10/10 Clean and cold 3. Cleanliness - 10/10 Very clean 4. Space/size - 10/10 Small room, typical in Japan. Room under the bed for luggage. 5. Staff/service - 10/10 Lovely staff, helpful and accomodating. Get new towels and room cleaning every day 6. Facilities 10/10 Laundry available (costs money to use). Microwave also available on laundry floor. Resturant downstairs, we did not use it so not sure of prices 7. Price 10/10 Good Value for money 8. Location 9/10 Close to everything you need, 7 eleven just across the road and the subway is right next to the hotel. 9. Wifi 10/10 No issues - good upload and download speed. 10. Privacy/noise - 10/10 Quiet hotel. Safety box available.

Location: - Secure, quiet area and peaceful. Great for solo travellers as well. - nearby Supermarket that sells bentos, just be sure to grab chopsticks or plastic spoons at the supermarket as there's none in the apartment. - near Higashi-hie station, which is a big plus - Have some Izakaya and Joyful Cafe nearby Wifi: - Strong wifi connection, great for those working remotely. - TV that shows local channels Apartment: - Has all the appliances needed for my stay - house manual that has English, Korean and Chinese translations. - The sofa bed was comfortable - check-in was swift and easy I would definitely recommend this place to anyone travelling in Fukuoka! Thanks again for the stay!

    We loved the Sumiyoshi area as it was relatively close to Hakata Station (15 minutes) and all its shops and restaurants. Not far to Tenjuin by train and more shops and train connections. We really enjoyed the cherry blossoms around Fukuoka and the lovely range of spring flowers, especially the tulips and emerging azaleas

    Fukuoka City is compact compared to Tokyo so it's really chill and easy to navigate. There are spaces for children like parks, swan boat rides and easy drives to places like Yanagawa for its canals and local craft, Yame for craft, Kurume for fruit picking and Momochi Beach presents an amazing sunset. Close proximity to mountains and seasides makes this a great city to experience nature but still have access to small malls and city nightlife.

    The city is a bit more worn down then I remember from prior trips. Lots of good places have closed or changed into different businesses. The construction is also more frequent around the main station. The food is still just as good as ever and there are still hidden gems if you explore some of the less traveled areas. Unexpectedly hot this autumn though.

    Fukuoka is a great city; one can relatively get around by walking or using their subway/bus system. The airport is literally "around the corner" only two stops away using the subway line. Relaxed and laidback like Nagasaki, it is a very inviting city.
