Must see in Amman is the Citadel and Roman Theatre. Make sure you get some delicious treats from Habibah Sweets. We enjoyed wandering down Rainbow Street too. We had an excellent meal at Sufra, in a beautiful courtyard.
Amman has much history that is well worth exploring. The panoramic view from Amman Citadel is wonderful and should be on every visitor's agenda. It is an affordable destination, the people are friendly and helpful, and everything just works. Having arrived after visiting Cairo, the difference is vast, and a refreshing change. I'd strongly recommend Amman and Jordan as a travel destination.
Jordanians are full of fun and a trip to Rainbow Street is a great way to see their vibrant lives, to dine with locals in one of the many restaurants or haggle in a silver shop. There is an abundance of cultural things to do. Citadel, amphitheater, mosque and museums. Even if you not a fan of museums, the Museum of Jordan is brilliant. Interactive, educational and entertaining. Amman is a bustling city, very hilly but inexpensive taxis are the best option to get about. (Use uber to find best prices if you want to avoid haggling). 3 days simply isn’t long enough.
Highly recommended very welcoming people and friendly people around the Jordanian area, only thing is rent car, they are tried to manepulate you to take there insurance aswell, I took 2 insurance 1 from skyscanner and another from rent car Co.
Very intrest city, you can find everything you want Down town is so beautiful, alabdali area full of modern things Nice food Yummy sweets, ate in burgerizer, bab alyaman, khashoka, very easy transportation
I love the people, food, culture and the experiences of being in Jordan, but the capital clearly has a pollution problem. If there were ever a valid argument for implementing climate controls and restricting traffic in capital cities, one need look no further than Amman. I would encourage the authorities to invest in renewable energy and think about switching to sustainable forms of transportation. The natural ecosystems has been destroyed there.
