A good location for a relaxing stay in Vopnafjörður, Ásbrandsstadir Cottage is a holiday home surrounded by views of the lake. Jón is a very friendly and talkative host, gladly sharing information about the region, Iceland etc. with guests. The room was small but more than suffucient, the facilities, kitchen and wash room were everything we needed.

The interier is breathtaking, soooo cozy, so stylish, so beautiful. Appraciate many kitchen accessories and willigness of personal. Do not forget to ask for horse riding. The owner employ young and talented stuff who can take you for horse riding through their neverending heath :) doesnt matter if you are beginner or advanced. Really recommend so so much this place. We regreted that we didnt plan our roadtrip with more days enabling to stay here.
