Beautiful house with very well equiped kitchen. Big bonus - hot tubs outside plus beach in front, where we took a cold dip to the sea. What is more, there are extra towels and even swimming suits in a bathroom which you can use for hot tubs, in case forgot your own.

Located in Skinnastadir, Dettifoss Guesthouse is 25 km north of Dettifoss Waterfall. It offers simple, modern rooms with shared bathrooms. WiFi and parking are free. Fantastic facilities for the price. It was very clean and the beds were comfortable. We also arrived very late so we were left a little message with a key, which we appreciated. We were there the night before the yellow-orange weather kicked in, and in the morning Olga advised us how to proceed on making our way to the South given the conditions. She was lovely and let us stay as long as we needed to! Her knowledge of the roads and weather was really useful and we definitely want to thank her for that!
