Cottage is nicely decorated - a mixture of traditional and modern. Service is friendly and helpful. Location is good too - only a couple of minutes' walk from the high street, and handily there's free off-road parking. The kitchen has coffee, a good selection of teas and handily some food such as soup. The cottage was nice and warm on arrival and the owner Ollie turned up to say hello and check all was ok. All in all, a pleasant start and I'll definitely return.

Room was very tired and facilities were lacking. No bedside lamp or electrical sockets, sheets and towels not changed and room not cleaned during my stay.Bathroom was adequate but sink and shower broken, toilet seat askew and cistern difficult to use.

Yarm is a charming town with a beautiful riverside to walk along and very interesting architecture - especially the viaduct. Local shops were varied and some great cafe's and restaurants. Great place to stay for a solo traveler. Other interesting places to visit are situated close by - suitable for lone travelers, couples and families. Local people very friendly and helpful.

Eaglescliffe is a good base to explore Teesside and North Yorkshire. There are very good restaurants close to the station. Preston Park is a lovely place for a stroll and has an interesting museum. Eaglescliffe also boasts some very nice pubs.

yarm is a lovely place but parking is an issue.
yarm is a lovely place but parking is an issue.3 hours at the moment on the main street if youre lucky enough to get a parking spot. sainsburys just increased their free parking to 90 mins.but beware there are cameras. nice italian restaurant us who do a great breakfast.

Yarm is a lovely, historic town - a delight in it's own...
Yarm is a lovely, historic town - a delight in it's own right, with many very good restaurants and welcoming pubs. The cobbled streets, viaduct and bridge over the tees have some nice walks too - very picturesque. Yarm is also very well located for the North York moors and the beautiful seaside towns of Saltburn and Whitby as well as Mount Grace Priory and Fountains Abbey.

My family and I visited the area to celebrate my Birthday with other close family living nearby. The Old Mill Rooms were perfect to conveniently lay our heads for the night!! Peaceful & clean in a fantastic location, thoroughly enjoyed our time & would love to come again some time!!
