St Ouen's (1.4 miles from Jersey Airport)
Discovery Bay is a 4-star property situated in St Ouen's, facing the sea. The property has mountain and garden views, and is 80 metres from St.Ouen's Bay Beach. We stayed in Apartment No. 8 the upstairs one facing the front of the building with the two balconies. It was exceptionally clean with lovely furniture, great comfortable beds, white bedlinen, and huge white towels. There were five adults and one 8 year old child. The apartment has a good size living/kitchen room with a double couch bed, a big bathroom with a fantastic shower and two bedrooms. The large one was for my daughter, her husband and their son Jake. Vicky had a camp bed put in for Jake. Myself and my husband had the smaller twin room and my son had the couch. Now Vicky told us that it would be a bit of a squeeze and I really appreciated this information but as we were a family we were fine. We enjoyed having the balconies with the beautiful view of The Wetlands Centre and St. Quens Beach behind us with the most amazing sunsets each evening. Vicky, Natalie and Joe were wonderful hosts and nothing was too much trouble. They even left Milk and bottles of Water for us and they were really friendly while we were there. We had our breakfast every morning behind the building in Sands Beach Cafe which is run by the same family. The food was fantastic with freshly squeezed orange juice and all at a reasonable price. The staff were lovely in the cafe. Communication with everyone was excellent from the moment I booked - Thank you to Vicky and Natalie who always answered my queries. We loved our holiday in this lovely building and we will return again as we were visiting my Son and his family who live on the island. Many thanks to Natalie, Joe, and Vicky for a fantastic stay.

Situated right on the beach in the centre of St Brelade's Bay, the 4-star Golden Sands hotel offers excellent views of one of Jersey's finest beaches. I had a wonderful stay. The reception staff is very friendly, helpful and welcoming. The room is very comfortable, reasonable size, very comfy bed and really good shower. Very clean. Good tea selection with some biscuits. Felt right at home. The location right on the beach with beautiful views, bus stop on the doorstep and a short ride from the airport. The restaurant and bistro is also good, enjoying the beach view and friendly service. I can definitely recommend it and would love to come back.

Lovely little place. Easy walk into St. Helier. 3 mile. Buses regular St Aubins has everything shops walks bars cafes and restaurants. People are lovely. Food excellent Uno cafe and restaurant was lovely. Old court house. Everywhere Great front for an evening stroll and a beer
St peters is a good place to stay as quite central. Easy to get around the island . We had a car so was easy for us to move around We ate at other places in the Island as we have been many times so Portelet Inn was nice Colleen's at Greve du Leq is fab for breakfast or lunch Jersey Pearl nice for lunch after a walk on the beach/promenade Love watching the surfers on the beach at St Ouen You may hear the planes as close to the airport but didn't bother us and it's only daytime no night flights as the airport shuts overnight
Small number of houses in sheltered cove with a small but good range of pubs/restaurants. Free parking close to sandy beach with café facilities. Close to cliff walks and to other small bays or places of interest.
Lovely sandy beach accessible. Lots of toilets! Good choice of restaurants and places to grab an ice cream. Nice parks close by. On bus route so easy to access other places on the island. Ate at the Crab Shack, very good. Walked to Corbiere and used public transport to visit Saint Helier and the war tunnels.
St. Mary is a small village located in the interior of the island, so is only a short drive from many of the island's beaches. We found the location very quiet, and enjoyed the good pub which was within a short walking distance from the cottage. We have visited Jersey many times, our favourite places to eat are : Le Braye and El Tico at St.Ouen's beach, Colleen's at Greve de Lecq beach, The Crab Shack at Plemont Bay, Cafe Uno at St'Aubin and for a special treat : Mark Jordan at the Beach (La Haule.)
I think this is best part of the island as beaches & restaurants close to hand & you can use it as a base for trips all around the island. The area was very good & lovely sights. As it's on a hill you can get some good views of the harbour & see right across to St Helier.
