Lytham St Annes (0.5 miles from Blackpool Airport)
Situated in Lytham St Annes in the Lancashire region, with St Annes Beach nearby, 38 Clive Avenue features accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking. We liked the pleasant and quiet location of the Avenue, there are some shops nearby including an exceptional Pharmacy and Fish & Chips shop. There are plenty of Churches in the area. Also the bungalow is near to Lytham St Anne's shops and to the sea front. If we hadn't both been ill with tonsillitis and cold symptoms which meant that we were unable to go out much, we would have really enjoyed our holiday here. Fortunately there is a large well kept garden outside at the back of the property where a table and chairs have been provided. The kitchen has a washing machine and dishwasher as well as a fridge freezer, microwave and an oven and grill. On the other side of the kitchen there is an electric hob and an electric kettle. The bungalow is spacious, clean including linens and tasteful decor throughout. There is a large dining table and chairs in the dining area and two comfortable sofas in the lounge and TV.

A very quiet place. In fine weather, there is a lovely walk along the front to Lytham and the windmill I would recommend. St Annes has a nice beach but the sea is far out. There are quite a few nice restaurants on the Square or just off it - Thai, Greek, Indian, Italian - we went to one on the main street and also a Turkish restaurant and Toby (all you-can-eat-breakfast £5 before 11am) on the seafront. There are also two real ale microbars - No 10 and Cask and Keg - in town. The Ashton Gardens are well worth a look and the Pavilion Cafe is lovely. The Peace and Happiness Garden next to the Pier has a statue of late St Annes resident, comedian Les Dawson, for fans. However the Pier isn't worth a look unless you like amusements as you cannot actually walk on it!
I expected way more. Have been wanting to visit for over 2 decades so was very underwhelmed. Seems a bit of a run down ghost town in places which was very sad to see. I can imagine it would have been amazing in its hay day.
Lovely place, great beach and parks. Small quaint town with nice eating out TIGGIS is amazing although due to dogs did not visit on this occasion but dog friendly places are around for eating and drinking.
I have visited Blackpool many times before. It was busy on this visit due to the illuminations just starting. My main reason for my one night visit was to walk on the promenade which i enjoyed apart for one thing, that was the amount of litter that had been dropped.
It’s a fabulous location for our family , lovely well kept beach , lovely shops and eating places , pier looks a bit sad , needs upgrade , but we love the place , something for all ages , and no rip off prices . Ate at the Toby carvery for a breakfast and Sunday roast , lovely food and atmosphere and lovely staff
What can I say about Blackpool that everyone doesn't already know? It's Blackpool. It's a run down seaside resort with plenty to see and do. There are good transport facilities so getting around isn't much of a problem. It caters for Hen and Stag do's so it is nearly always busy. It is the archetypal British seaside resort and we 'chuffin' love it.
