Coming from the United States, it seems we were a novelty, but we were driving from Metz back to Paris and wanted a small village. Jean shared historical information about the area and about his home. We enjoyed the kebab restaurant down the road, even though they were wondering what Americans were doing there! We love the backroads of Europe! And we love meeting the people! The experience was exactly as we had hoped! The room was clean and spacious and the breakfast was generous. When we come back to Metz, we will definitely come back to Solgne!
