Pros: When I walked into the property, you could tell everything was very clean. There's housekeeping there during the week for fresh linens if needed. The property is about 6 miles from the airport and was peaceful and quiet during my entire stay. I stayed in apartment C. When walking in, there's a couch, a TV, and a dining table with 4 chairs. There's a full kitchen (4 burner gas stove, refrigerator with freezer, dishes, silverware, pots/pans, coffee maker, hot pot, etc.). In the back on the apartment, there's a bedroom equipped with a dresser and an a/c unit. Off of the bedroom is a full bath. The apartment that I stayed in had tile floors throughout the entire apartment. The property has a very nice pool as well (although this should be apparent from the pictures on booking.com). While I was there for 10 days, the pool was professionally cleaned twice (that I was present for)...point being that it was very well maintained. There's a outside covered patio for every apartment with a table and 2 chairs. The facility also has a coin operated washing machine (I believe it was 5 florin to use it) and there were clothes lines out back to hang your clothes. With the Aruba 15 MPH daily winds, clothes dry in no time at all. Free parking spots are also available at the facility.

Derick is a very friendly host, very helpful, very attentive, frequently asking if everything is going fine.

5.3 km from Hooiberg Mountain, Vistalmar Ocean Suites is a recently renovated property set in Oranjestad and offers air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi and parking on-site. We had a lovely time at the Vistalmar villa during our dive trip to Aruba. We loved the convenience of the hotel being just a minute drive from the dive shop. After our morning dives, it was nice to relax in the comforts of the villa before heading out to explore the country. Angelique takes good care of the villa, keeping it stocked with small snacks and good coffee, and she provided us with helpful instructions and recommendations for places to go. She was kind enough to let us know about the Torch parade, which was a nice treat to be able to see. We liked the tranquility of being outside of the center and enjoyed relaxing on the private pier right along the water and watching the sunset. There's even a nice restaurant just a short walk down the road. We wanted to see the sights so we rented a car, and the villa was a great home base for easily reaching everything we wanted to see.

Very comfy room which felt like home after just a couple of days. You have your own parking lot a very kind host, a good kitchen and a clean room. Additionally we got free beachchairs and free snorkeling gear which we used a lot.
