Opened in June 2018, Hotel 1001 Nott offers modern accommodation 5 km from Egilsstadir. The hotel features outdoor hot tubs overlooking Lake Lagarfljót. There is also an on-site bar. We had a lovely stay. The room was nice and comfortable, the staff friendly, and the surroundings absolutely stunning. Absolutely recommend it to anyone visiting the eastern area of Iceland.

Really nice stay here. Thank you Sigri and her dad for helping us because we (four of us) arrived quite late. Love the room and the spectacular view soooooo much and we feel sad that could not stay here for longer! Definitely recommend to all travellers!!!

Featuring river views, Hjartarstaðir Guesthouse offers accommodation with patio, around 37 km from Gufufoss. There is a private entrance at the bed and breakfast for the convenience of those who stay.... It was quiet location. Room was big enough, kitchen was well equipped with all what we needed. Room was super clean. Check in and check out very easy.

Located in Neskaupstaður in the East Iceland region, Skorrahestar provides accommodation with free private parking, as well as access to a hot tub. The property has mountain and garden views. All was great but the Host have been the Most Amazing people

Tehúsið Hostel & Guesthouse has a garden, shared lounge, a terrace and restaurant in Egilsstadir. I like the location especially there is a bar and camping site in the whole complex. I met some locals in the pub/bar which was nice. Very friendly staff. The kitchen is well equipped, several showers and toilets.

EVERYTHING! Staying in one of my favorite places on earth with the most beautiful view in a meticulous room was great. Breakfast great. Cute baby foxes and nice dogs.

Set in a renovated farmhouse, this guest house is located by Lake Lagarfljót in Eglisstadir village. Chris and Rafael were very helpful and nice! The hotel is charming and has a beautiful view over the lake. Breakfast is a delight!

Berjaya Hérað Hotel is situated in Egilsstadir, 5 km from Lagarfljot River. It offers a terrace bar and 24-hour room service. All rooms have Wi-Fi, satellite TV and wooden floors. Outstandingly friendly staff, lots of space, very clean and modern. The big Windows were a big plus,, we were able to see the northern lights from our bed! The soap, shampoo, conditioner and shower gel also were good quality. Close to gas station and grocery store. The restaurant was also good, the reindeer ragout was fantastic!
