Dopo tante delusioni ricevute nei giorni precedenti da strutture che si qualificano come 4 stelle ma non lo sono minimamente, questa ci ha fatto recuperare tutto il disappunto: bellissima camera, immensa, letto grandissimo, biancheria immacolata, bagno con vasca e doccia separata, asciugamani di ogni tipo, prodotti per la toilet in abbondanza, colazione ECCELLENTE, staff gentilissimo, parcheggio incluso nel prezzo di soggiorno, posizione ottimale per il giro in città.

Drove down from Derry stayed here as it was close to GAA grounds that we had a game at. Owners where lovely and friendly. Nice wee friendly bar just two mins up the road, they had great facilities including darts board that we all had use off and not forgetting the 1st class breakfast! Unreal! Thank you very much for a great stay and making us feel so welcome.

The property was beautiful, clean and comfortable and definitely somewhere I would stay again. The facilities were wonderful and the location was perfect for easy access to the town.

Circondato da splendidi giardini, lo Shamrock Lodge Hotel a conduzione familiare sorge nel cuore dell'Irlanda, a soli 5 minuti a piedi dai ristoranti, bar e locali notturni del centro di Athlone. We had an unusual experience during our stay here. We had a lovely room, very large and comfortable, and all the reception people we dealt with were very helpful. In the morning after our first night, my husband had a kidney stone attack, and we had to go to the hospital. It was a Sunday and the receptionist told us we needed to go to Portiuncula Hospital and she called a taxi. After that, he was admitted to hospital, and I was on my own for the next night and I had to add on one more night, which was in a smaller room, but equally as comfortable. I appreciated being able to have dinner at the hotel for the two nights on my own, and the meals were very good. I had the breakfast on one morning, and it was very good, with lots of variety. I also appreciated the kindness and understanding of the reception staff. On the morning I left, because I had to wait for a taxi, the receptionist had tea and a biscuit brought to me. It was a memorable stay, perhaps for the wrong reasons, but I will always remember the staff at the Shamrock Lodge Hotel.
